How to Install a Steering Wheel Cover

Today, I’ll be laying out a step-by-step procedure on how to install a steering wheel cover.

Step 1

Clean the steering wheel. Rubbing some vinyl cleaner on the wheel will help you clean it thoroughly. This will prevent any growth of bacteria or mold under the cover over time.

Step 2

Remove any tie-downs or wraps of your desired cover. Go and sit on the driver’s seat and start aligning the cover to the steering wheel. Then begin wrapping the wheel with the cover. Make sure to start at the top.

Step 3

Hold the cover with one hand, then slowly work it around on the sides of the upper portion of the steering wheel. Make sure to switch places after you are done with the other side. Continue the process until the top half is done.
